Stuart Swann - Director

Stuart qualified as a primary teacher in 1995 and holds a Bachelor of Education. Throughout his educational experience, Constructionism, innovation and play have been at the heart of his work.

During his school career, he led on music and ICT and developed a bespoke scheme of work for ICT that supported the wider curriculum through innovative, project-based learning.

From 2002 to 2011, Stuart was an Advisory Teacher for ICT in the London Borough of Greenwich, and Manager of the borough’s City Learning Centre scheme.

In 2011, he established an IE Solutions Ltd with a partner and supports schools in the development and implementation of Computing curricula. 

 

He is an Apple Distinguished Educator and Apple Professional Learning Specialist. He has facilitated workshops on behalf of Apple, and is engaged by a number of Apple Authorised Education Specialists to work with schools integrating Apple technologies into the curriculum. 

 

Stuart has been a LEGO Education Academy Certified Trainer since 2011 and regularly facilitates training to teachers in both primary and secondary schools and with a diverse range of organisations. He works globally on behalf of LEGO Education, and has delivered keynotes, training and workshops in Europe, Africa, the Caribbean, and the Middle East. Stuart is an experienced learning designer and has written and developed curriculum content for many LEGO Education resources. He works closely with The LEGO Education Academy, helping to train, evaluate and certify new trainers.

 

Stuart is a former Vice-Chair of NAPE (National Association for Primary Education) and was one of two representatives from the UK as part of a two-year research project examining the implementation and assessment of the European Key Competencies for Learning.
